From producing financial models to performing company valuations and conducting exit reviews, Tallat is crucial to interpreting the market and financial data which informs the fund's growth strategies.

- Developing deal structuring and financial modelling for recent funding rounds in a number of our portfolio companies
- Producing exit reviews of all our portfolio companies
- Assisting Tarblaster management with a review of their strategic roadmap
Other areas of expertise which Tallat brings to Epi-V include:
- Assisting in negotiations on deal structuring along with other general negotiations during the deal process
- Coordinating due diligence and facilitating introductions to banks, lawyers, and other professionals
- Playing a critical role in investigating and executing investment opportunities in the oilfield services sector
Background
Having graduated with a degree in aeronautical engineering from Loughborough University, Tallat has a real interest in the application of cutting-edge technologies in the oil and gas sector.
Tallat has a wealth of relevant transactional experience gained in his previous role as a Senior Executive in Ernst & Young's mergers and acquisitions team.
Here he honed his advisory and negotiation skills through working closely with trade and private equity bidders, as well as showing an aptitude for innovative and creative deal structuring. Tallat has excellent origination skills and actively works to generate new deals for Epi-V.
Tallat's experience includes:
- Advising management on the MBO of the offshore division of a global equipment hire company
- Advising management on the MBO of an international oil and gas offshore engineering business
- Being able to work confidently and effectively with senior management teams on complex deal issues
Personal
Tallat enjoys playing all sports but in particular, enjoys squash and tennis. Having recently married, he also enjoys spending time with his wife and family.
