As Finance Partner, Simon oversees Epi-V’s financial reporting, forecasting and investment due diligence. Simon takes a lead role in deal origination and structuring with a strong focus on scenario modelling and stress testing analysis. He is responsible for monitoring portfolio value and cash management as well as evaluating exit strategy.
Simon has been particularly involved in overseeing the business development of Epi-V’s portfolio companies such as i-Tec and Darcy, identifying potential areas of development and providing financial and technical support. He has held non-executive director positions on investee company boards as well as on audit and remuneration committees.
Prior to joining Epi-V, Simon was Group Financial Controller at Snell & Wilcox Ltd where he was responsible for financial forecasting as well as promoting a greater degree of cost and performance ownership across the wider business, particularly through the implementation of manufacturing costing systems. Simon previously held senior financial or board positions at Sensor Highway, Weston Aerospace and Landis & Gyr.
Simon joined Epi-V in July 2007 and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA).
